THE CLIENT:

Castrol

THE PROJECT:

Unbreakable Andy Priaulx.

THE STORY:

For this project, we took a loose brief for a human-interest story of strength, and created an award-winning film.

We planned and executed everything from scratch, even approaching the star of the film, racing driver Andy Priaulx MBE.

Andy was thousands of miles away from home in 2003, having just won a race when something monumental happened. His first child was being born, five weeks early. He couldn’t get home in time to be there.

Sixteen years later, we capture Andy’s fast-paced racing life. In contrast, we interject with footage of the grounded, humble Priaulx family at their home in Guernsey.

THE CHALLENGE:

A crew of four. Shot over three days in France and Guernsey.

In Andy’s own words: “The Kingdom Creative crew worked with an understanding that time is precious, especially at a race event. They had half an hour with me at the race in Le Mans, and half a day with my family in Guernsey. They made the most of every minute. In contrast, a different film crew followed me for three days. The result was 50 seconds of footage.”

People’s time is precious – every minute of filming counts. The Kingdom Creative in-house team has worked together for years. It means we are agile, consistent and value for money.

THE DELIVERABLES:

One hero film and a suite of content for social media.

THE SUCCESS:

Winner of Best Event Film at the London Motor Film Festival 2019. It was the second consecutive year we won the Best Event Film accolade, after claiming it in 2018 with a Porsche film.
