THE PROJECT:

Unexpected Side – Rome and Milan

THE STORY:

This project aimed to attract people to the cities of Rome and Milan. Hilton Hotels and Resorts wanted the audience to see the destinations as places of adventure and unexpected treasures. 

The films celebrate undiscovered parts of two Italian cities as we follow locals around some of their favourite places to eat, play and be inspired. We hear their words as we join them for an exploration of their beloved city, beyond the path well-trodden.

With an evocative, documentary-style approach, and poetic words, scripted by Kingdom Creative, the films inspire us to see Rome and Milan, reimagined.  

THE CHALLENGE:

A crew of three, shot over five days in Rome and Milan. 

Kingdom Creative planned and executed everything from scratch. Our first task was to find the locals and hear their stories. 

Careful planning goes into every shoot. These films involved research, scheduling and permissions across two cities. Everything was managed by the same in-house team, ensuring consistency, agility and value. 

THE DELIVERABLES:

Two hero films (one per city), a branded version of the video for each hotel, and shortened edits for social content. 

THE SUCCESS:

Winner of Best Italian Film at the Milan World Film Festival 2019.
