Aston Martin Vantage GTE was revealed to the world in November 2017. It was developed over the course of the year and Kingdom Creative had the pleasure of documenting the build over this period of time. The race car was built in tandem with the new Vantage road car, from which it takes it’s core values, design and dynamic capabilities.
The new Vantage GTE is built to become the new FIA World Endurance Championship challenger. It is set to replace the team’s most successful competition car of all time, the multiple Le Mans winning V8 Vantage GTE. The car was designed and engineered at the Aston Martin Headquarters in Banbury, Warwickshire and was led by Technical Director Dan Sayers, who also led the development of the V8 Vantage GTE.
Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, opens and closes the film with his passionate take on the Vantage and what it means to Aston Martin to successfully compete in the WEC and win iconic races like Le Mans 24 hours. Along the race car’s journey we see it undertake rigorous testing, including at the notoriously rough circuit of Sebring in Florida. The current and new Aston Martin Factory drivers including Darren Turner, Marco Sorenson and Nicki Thiim, all report positively on the car’s exceptional capability and control. During the film, we hear directly from them.
The development of the new Vantage GTE has arrived in time for the new 2018/2019 super season. This brings the exciting prospect of competing at Le Mans twice and returning to Sebring. Having worked so closely with the Aston Martin team and seeing all of their hard work over the last year, we wish them continued success in the world’s greatest endurance series. We hope they continue, as they set out to do, to write motorsport history.
