The best stories come from the heart. When we discovered that one of our team’s grandfathers, Darryl Pendlebury, had raced to third place in the 1969 Isle of Man TT on a Triumph Bonneville, we knew his legacy deserved to be immortalised on film. This was a true passion project – driven by our love for storytelling, not just motorsport.
Our creative production team’s mission? Honour the raw thrill of racing and the unrelenting determination that fuelled Darryl’s journey. We seamlessly blended past and present, intercutting high-speed modern footage with nostalgic moments to reflect the enduring nature of Darryl’s legacy.
Shot in just two days with a lean video production services crew of three, we captured the Triumph Daytona 675 in action at Cadwell Park, using drones and ground-based cameras within a tight two-hour window.
The second day took us to Darryl’s home, weaving personal history into the narrative to create an emotional journey. We then returned to Cadwell Park during a British Superbikes race, amplifying the film’s electric atmosphere.
The film was recognised for its artistry, earning a nomination for Best Artistic Work at the Endorphin Awards.
