The McLaren GTS isn’t just another supercar. It’s a rule-breaker – combining raw performance with everyday usability. So when McLaren launched the GTS Defiance, the campaign had to be just as bold.
With two cars and a long list of deliverables we deployed two fully synced video production services crews – one dedicated to the hero film, the other capturing product videos and stills. We filmed on location at Winnats Pass, a limestone gorge in the Peak District known for its cinematic curves and raw natural drama.
The GTS tore through the landscape, vivid orange against deep green – a colour palette pushed further in post-production with bold grading that amplified contrast and attitude.
Back in the edit suite, we collaborated with an award-winning sound designer in Berlin to create a bespoke audio layer – fusing engine growls with a soundbed built for impact.
Mirrored shots and kaleidoscopic sequences give the film a dual personality, echoing the GTS’s ability to shift between urban cool and full-throttle escapism. From sweeping bends to city silhouettes, the film flexes between worlds – showing a car that never settles.
