Fifteen years of partnership. Eight years of crafting Mazda’s Epic Drive hero films. This time, we took it to the extreme – pushing creativity and endurance to the limit in the frozen landscapes of Scandinavia.
With just three days to shoot, we had to move fast. Hero film, director’s cut, media assets – everything had to be captured perfectly. But at -30°C, even the simplest tasks became a challenge. Cameras frosted over. Drone batteries drained in minutes. Our experienced crew battled the elements to keep the shoot on track.
The roads were vast, silent, buried under thick snow. The landscape, nothing short of majestic. But it wasn’t just about the car – it was about the journey. Our creative video production team wove in a narrative: a phone call between the driver and her partner back home. A simple, human connection that made the adventure feel real. Local characters and traditions added depth, bringing the destination to life.
Video post-production was where the magic happened. Sharp sound design made the phone call feel raw and intimate. Rapid-cut sequences and soundtrack heightened the adrenaline and sense of adventure. This film doesn’t just show the drive – it makes you feel it.
